This will be a reference list to compare prices and try to determine a stock-up price for organic foods. When I first started couponing I stocked up on items at a price I wouldn't pay now, so just like conventional couponing, organic couponing will be a trial and error process. Since I have had a couple months of price comparing, i think that i can start charting the list now....

3/14, took the liberty to stock up on nuts on clearance at wags. Since my diet states i need to eat 1 ounce a day, and after i lose the weight i will be eating probably 3-4 ounces a day, 7 lbs of nuts won't last us long, but i wanted to get some now and would have gotten more if our budget could allow it.

Well this month is about to come to a close and just tallied up my totals and while i am happy with my grocery numbers, eating out seemed to be way over budget this month. I am a little disappointed in this as we are trying to eat healthier and financially i would have preferred to spend more of the money on food at the grocery store, march i hope to adhere to the budget better and try to get dh to stop eating out so much!

so i have found that tracking every cent is just not going to work for me, so i am thinking that going to the envelope system may be the best bet for me that way i can track on a monthly or weekly basis and rather than figuring out how much i spent after the fact, it may be better to go over what i have at the end of the month, mainly in entertainment/eating out/gifts areas.
