February 2010 budget, intergrating organics slowly.

Well this month is about to come to a close and just tallied up my totals and while i am happy with my grocery numbers, eating out seemed to be way over budget this month. I am a little disappointed in this as we are trying to eat healthier and financially i would have preferred to spend more of the money on food at the grocery store, march i hope to adhere to the budget better and try to get dh to stop eating out so much!
status of buying organic: all milk and eggs were purchased organic, all apples, lettuce, pears and yogurt, raisins, soup, bought 2 boxes of organic cereal this month, all organic carrots, celery. Mostly focusing on the fresh produce and milk and eggs. I had two successful trips to whole foods, spending about 60$ and savings over 110$ this month. Plan to go to whole foods bi-monthly from now on as there seem to be quite a few great deals unadvertised there.
We tried organic chocolate for the first time and it tasted great! For march I will continue transitioning to organic and using up the non organic stockpile. I am still buying non-natural soaps at the moment, I plan to clean out the food first and then the cleaning products and the body products are low on the list right now.
Food oop: 214.65
savings: 300.38
eating out oop: 101.78
savings: 15.00
great month for rebates!
checks: 10.00, 14.97, 9.75,
free products, stacy pita chips, excedrin, kashi cereal from rb. Hope to get a good deal on olay for that rebate and also get good deals for the pandg coupon rebate next month.
