Gotta be accountable!

I have got to start tracking every cent i spend shopping, so this is where it starts as of July first, everything i buy is being put here that i shop for. I just came back from sam's where i spend 60$$. Prices are going up, a bag of rice i got a few months ago was 12.87, today it was 18.87, yikes!

Since we eat a lot of nonpackaged foods, and i try to cook from scratch alot, our budget will never be 0$. And since i've been saving money on things, i have on occassion opted to buy organic varieties of produce specifically if it is one of the dirty dozen.

This is primarily a log to see how much i am actually spending cause it seems like i spend in spurts, more at the beggining and ending of each month, and i would like to keep the food/grocery budget at or below 250$ Eating out, who knows, dh doesn't keep track of his spending and he is the one who eats out the most. I will try to keep a log of this as well.

Ds is having his birthday soon so i know we will be spending extra on that and the party w/around 50 guests. So July will have extra spending plus both of my nephews birthdays and our 3year anniversary is this month so more spending there too.

Ultimately we are planning a trip this January for India to visit dh's parents. This will be the first time ds and I will meet them and we would like to be able to cut costs and afford this trip! Not to mention pay off the car, student loans etc. but dh's mom's health is not well so going to India is a higher priority at the moment.

Well that is my first entry! I will try to update my spending weekly, if not daily, starting tomorrow. Unforntunately we don't have a digital camera at the moment, which may be another added expense in the near future, so i won't be able to add pictures.
