One day I will learn not to make stupid comments like "We have no plans to leave the house today" or "If a nickel crosses my fingers, I'll let you know".

On Friday DS' hand was run over by a vacuum cleaner. Don't ask - these things seem to happen to boys. Just suffice it to say that it was not the vacuumer's fault (this didn't happen at home). Anyhoo, the hand looked like...

I'm posting earlier than usual in the day, but we have no plans to leave the house. If I do let a nickel cross my fingers today, I'll let you know .

I filed our taxes today, and between our refund and the money saved from our spending diet we should be able to pay off all our medical bills by the beginning of February.

Can I say that again?????

The saga won't be...

DH spent $11 on gas.

I spent my lunch break running around to different pharmacies and the hospital getting payment printouts for our taxes. In the past if I was running errands during lunch I would have stopped for fast food, but today I planned ahead and packed a sandwich and banana for the car.

I've read that it takes 30 days to break a habit or establish new ones - I hope that's the case, because this whole spending diet is easier than I thought. I think my...

Halfway day! Woohoo!

I went to the grocery store on my lunch hour. I managed to keep it to $28.32.

I would have been under $25 if it hadn't been for those stupid ice cream sandwiches. They were taunting me.

DH spent $11 late last night for gas.

I had a MAJOR temptation this morning! It was cold out, and my sister (whom I work with) and another coworker were talking about sending out to get hot biscuits and gravy. My mouth was watering - I thought it would kill me to pass it up. Then - VOILA - I remembered that I paid for her on our last "breakfast run" awhile back!

I got my hot biscuits and gravy, and mmmmmmm were they good!
