Day 21 - 1/21/09

The end is near.
You know, I can't say that I'm dying to go shopping or something. I still have my list of things I need to buy (Hello February!), but I've proven to myself that I can get by without most of the day to day minutiae I used to think we needed. We actually get by quite comfortably.
This has broken my fast food/convenience store habit, which is such a drain on the wallet. The money we've managed to save is way over and above what I thought it would be, and I plan on focusing that former wasted money into our savings.
I went to the grocery store today and stocked up on ground beef, which we are very low on. $1.69 is just the lowest it gets here, but I still continue to hold out hope for the $1/lb I paid a year ago. I spent $43.92.
I'll be going to do my regular shopping tomorrow at my regular store, to start out the new week.
Week 3 Total: $99.28
Week 2 Total: $94.95
Week 1 Total: $71.06
