Day 7 - 1/7/09

No money spent. I spent most of the day in bed with a horrid stomach bug. I only left the house for a few hours in a failed attempt to go to work
.
I do have sort of a conundrum. DH and I are supposed to meet after work in Orlando Friday night (an hour from home) for a church service. We won't have time to eat dinner beforehand, and if we wait until we get home we won't eat until nearly 11PM.
My only conceivable options are to grab some cheap fast food (which I said we weren't going to spend money on), pack some sort of sandwiches, or use our Outback gift cards. I don't want to use the gift cards since we just got them at Christmas and we went out to eat last weekend at a very high end steakhouse for my sister's birthday (thanks Mom!). I'd like to save them for when I'm really dying to go out to eat.
I do have BOGO Burger King coupons. We could both eat there for the cost of a large value meal. Hmmmm...is that how I want to start my second week? Then again, sandwiches after a long church service when I haven't eaten since lunch eight hours before isn't all that attractive either.
Ideas?
Spending to date:
Gas $13.39
Groceries/Other: $49.42
$37.19 under $100 target for week 1!

Do you have a thermos? Hot soup or chili might be good to go with your sandwiches or even alone.Posted 01-08-2009 at 02:43:22 PM by GMACLAUS
