Well, me and dh sat down tonight and we finally realized that for the first time in a long time, we will be able to really have wiggle money. About 1400 extra a month... I can't believe it. He wants to split the money though...
I already know that his will be down the drain... I want to put away mine towards my trip this summer and savings. I am only going for a week to see my friend up in Greenville, SC, but I want to have at least 1,000 to spend for me and ds. We are planning on going through the Smokies, and I also want to hit up Gatlinburg. I want to go to the Ripleys Museum!!!
I also want to treat me and my bff for a day at the spa while her man watches my son.
I was originally supposed to go during Spring Break, but with the job and all put on hold it didn't happen.
I am finally scoring some pretty decent deals, which have me excited! Who doesn't love it when they are paying YOU to buy groceries!
I posted some items on freecycle the other day and a woman responded today. We talked some and she told me her situation. Has seven kids under one roof!
I tried to tell her about couponing, and the response..."I don't like to shop... I'd rather not deal with it." I told her I would send a link to here for her just in case, and that I would be happy to drop the clothes by for her even though she lives forever away.
Sometimes I feel like I am trying to sell something when I want to tell someone about this.
I just don't understnad how someone would NOT want free stuff.

| | I don't get some people. An sadly we never will. Also be sure she is not just trying to get one over you. (something for free or next to nothing) There are many scams on craiglist and freecycle |

| | Oh everyone wants free stuff if there is no work involved. But couponing takes some effort. Of course some people do have an adversion to shopping in general. My mom for example HATES to shop. She she isn't going to bother with coupons. Instead she finds her bargains in other ways. Don't blow your extra money...save it, invest it, at least part of it! |

| | i agree with queen of the hive invest..it may seem a lifetime away but you cant plan too early for retirement..or that rainy day that always seems to happen.... it always seems like the people who would benefit from couponing the most are the ones who just dont get it! dont want to get it, or its too much work... but i agree why give your money away?.... keep it for other stuff you may want or need... and i would make a deal with dh.... at least put half of his half away.. and you do the same... not to spend it all . save in ira.. buy ee bonds.. from banks..they grow with inflation and tax free till you cash them... at least they make a little something...oh here i go again.. rambling.. sorry... |
