HI! I have a question. Why do people get so impatient behind you when you are using coupons? :shrug7: They sigh and moan that you are wasting time and even give you ugly looks. Really people is that necessary? Anyhow, what do you do in that situation? This is what I do, I turn around and say, "I don't know about you, but I saved a bunch of money by switching to Geico and using these coupons here." Smile and walk away.
I just can't stand rude people in line and I saw a first time couponer, doing her very best the other day and the next person behind her was complaining about her taking up time. She started to get discourage and was about to just pay and leave, but I handed her the coupons that she was looking for. (I always keep a few extra coupons with me and it didn't bother me to share.) I told her to just be prepared next time and kinda have the coupons ready in her hand so she doesn't have to put up with rudeness.
Tell me...did I do good? & What do you say to the full-price paying fool behind you?

HAHAHA My hubby always uses the Geico line. I do not say anything but I have yet to have anyone huff and puff at me. (Watch today be my lucky day) I think it depends on what kind of mood I am in. I might just smile and say sorry this is taking so long. You know kill them with kindness. I cannot imagine myself getting crazy with someone, I will just have to remember.... If I were paying the prices they are I would be upset too.....but I ain't
and they are so nannie nannie boo boo

yeah usually I just walk away. But the other day I warned the old guy behind me to prepare him that I would take longer time and he said he wouldn't mind. After I checked out and done and he was done behind me .I got a compliment from him " wow you are a professional shopper". So I just smile and thanked him.Posted 08-05-2009 at 10:25:23 AM by phinphana

I warn people behind me as they walk up that I have a coupon for everything I bought. Sometimes it takes a while. After 4 or 5 leaves - I quit warning. That's usually when the temper tantrum ones show up.
There was one purse swinging idiot I really wanted to say something too, but I didn't. Rarely do I let them get my goat - but some times it's unavoidable - like her. I asked the manager to get her ice cream or something since she waited so long and was so impatient.
I had already offered to help move her to another line. She was a butt!Posted 08-05-2009 at 12:47:14 PM by thickbluebug

The way I see it is, it is not MY fault the store doesn't open another line. They should be angry that the store doesn't have enough lanes open to serve their customers efficently. My local food lion loves to have two lanes open. There could be 6 people in line and they won't open another register. How is that my fault? The fact I have coupons shouldn't matter. What if they needed a price check and it was being held up for that? Again store's problem not mine. OPEN MORE LANES.Posted 08-06-2009 at 11:02:01 AM by uummm
