Once again, CVS-T was out of the main part of the deal I was going to do (the deodorant). While the folks that work there are friendly enough, the store just doesn't stock what I want to get a lot of the time, and that stinks. I convinced my husband to drive to CVS-A, and they had everything I wanted. Yay!

The cashier I got at CVS-A was really awesome on very many levels. I asked her if it was okay to use the $1 Sure coupons if I was using the BOGO coupons as well, and she said...

Went in with a half-assed plan, not really knowing what the heck I was going to get. I only got one paper instead of the three I was thinking of grabbing (hate hate hate on the grocery store for being OUT) and just sort of slapped something together. I did really, really well.

The earlier trip to CVS-T didn't pan out quite as I'd have liked; they didn't carry Soyjoy, they've always been out of Listerine, and they had the wrong stupid price up for the Colgate. All the same, when I went to CVS-A I could not have planned this better if I tried. Pulling a scenario out of my butt as I tossed stuff into my basket, I pulled off quite possibly the most perfect thing ever.

Today I learned that the self-checkout computer will complain about two (well, three) things:

#1: Using more than two coupons.
Solution: Have a register monkey come enter their code so I can get into supersekrit cashier mode (SSCM) and scan more in.

#2: The item price is less than the doubled coupon price.
Solution: Tell the computer in SSCM mode to just use the item price as the coupon price.

#3: The hidden cap for coupon usage.
Solution:...

The point behind this is to find out Why it cost as much as it did. Looking over the receipt, I see why I paid as much as I did. I don't have a problem with paying this much, but the why will help me figure out what to do later on.
