Where I post my coupon-related musings, and the weekly shopping trip excursions, helping me keep track of how much I've saved since I started this. Ideally, it'll keep going up! (:
First Savings

I'm going to keep a log of what I've saved at the store here -- hopefully someone can offer me suggestions for the future (:

I couldn't find a copy of the Detroit Free Press, so I picked up a copy of the Adrian paper instead. I'm starting at ground zero here with coupons, so I was pretty sure I wouldn't end up saving thirty bucks right away. I found a few good coupons and went snipping away in the car while we headed to the actual store we do our shopping at.
We didn't need a lot of stuff, so we just looked for good deals and I carried the stack of coupons that I thought we might want to get. Some of the things we (well, I) wanted weren't on sale, so you know what I did? Checked the expiration date and said I'll buy them when they're already on sale! (: I've got a couple that I've REALLY got my eye on.
A couple of the items we were thinking of getting weren't carried at the store we usually go to, so we'll have to look at other stores for that.
In-store savings: $3.94
Coupon savings: $2.10
I paid: ~$27.54
Off to go clip the coupons I didn't want for myself, andstart up my HAVES list!!
