Lesson Learned

Posted 02-09-2009 at 09:28:40 AM by kuponer

Like I said, I am branching out from CVS and into grocery stores. So yesterday I went to Stop & Shop and they had this deal where if you spend $20 worth of P&G products, you get $10 OYNO. So I went and bought 8 crest toothpaste, they were $2.50 each and used $1.50 coupons. I spent $8 + tax and got $10! Which I then used to buy rotiserrie chicken and 2 ocean spray juice so I can get a free bag of grapefruit. Now imagine my surprise when I come back to HCW and read some more and find out that the $20 worth is based on shelf prices, not sale price! I could have bought 2 less toothpaste and I would have still gotten $10!

A pretty good lesson to learn considering I got 2 extra tubes of toothpaste (not that I need any more of them)
