good for you!
Good for you! MY husband and I are Financial Peace volunteers and get so much joy out of helping people be good stewards of their money. It's hard in our materialistic society to keep motivated, so when you get discouraged, go find other blogs, read success stories etc... Good luck!

How did you start? We to have quit using credit cards, cash or check, so we are aware of what we spend. I work a couple of part time jobs that let me be here for the kids, about 22 hours a week, plus I cut basket kits for a lady in town, spuradic but sometimes very lucrative.
All of our change goes in a jar for college for the 2 adopted girls.
Hard part for me is controlling good buys, and flowers for the garden, which I am trading and dividing, but sometimes it gets the best of me.
We built a house, and when we sold the other one without a realator, we put that down on the loan and reameritized it to lower payments, now I to am putting what I save each week on cupons down as extra principal on the house. Give me even more incentive to find deals. Good luck, I am open to any tips.Posted 07-12-2008 at 01:39:04 PM by Marcina
