sweet sues can chicken $1.00 -.75 ='s .25@can
total before coupons 30.00
total of coupons 22.50
OOP 7.50
ok was that crazy?!?!?! What will I do with all that chicken?!?! Well I thought being that I'm in Southeast Texas I guess its a good ideal to have stuff like that on hand in case of another storm.
Anyone have any good recipes using this stuff?
Kroger:
Got 9 packs of the trimmed chicken in different trans.
Total before coupons:17.28
Total for coupons:9.00
OOP:8.28
Less than $1.00 @ whoo hoo
These are chicken tenders..Perfect size for Me and my daughter..great for making a small pot of chicken&dumplings.. chicken helper..or just frying them enough for each of us and I get to have leftovers for lunch. Whoo hoo!!
Tonight we're having macaroni & tuna salad.
Using a can of the free tuna I got a while back.. And there will be lots of left over for lunches for me and I'll take a bowl over to a elderly neighbor.
I wanting to start some gardening projects. Anyone on here do the lasagna gardening ..or raised bed gardening?
I rent a space in a mobile home park ..it like the ghetto of the town I live in..but I'm on the outside and there is only 1 other mobile home by mine and she just moved to that spot cause she wanted to be by me since I keep my area up so well. One of the major down falls is that it floods.. thats why I want to do that type of gardening.
I've already put down bout 10 bags of mulch in the front by the front door.. but I think no I KNOW I need MORE!! So I'm gonna put down newspapers to block weeds and grass also to build it up a bit, then put down more cedar mulch. I use cedar cause its suppose to help keep away fleas and it smell pretty at first.
My yard is decorated with a bamboo fence around the back part that closes in my little storage shed and daughter pool when I put it back up. I don't have skirting so inside the back I have a long grass skirt alone the bottom like skirting.. the front I have a smaller bamboo fence around the bottom of the trailer as skirting. I think its cute as heck. I have solar tiki lights out from in pots and around the yard I have plain solar lights. there are 2 picnic tables one is sitting under a tree that I have wind chimes in with clear fish line..and even a gnome hanging up in it. The other one I put under this thing that was there when I moved it. It use to be the bus stop for kids and I'm sure it looked better along time ago..but when I moved in it was nothing but some metal bars covered in rust that I'm sure use to have a roof on it and a place to sit. So I put that other smaller picnic table under it and used part of one of my bamboo fences as a roof.. tied it on with twine and pained the bars a brown color. The tables I put table cloths on to match the season or whatever holiday it is.
oo wow I so rambled on..

| | Last night I used some Valley Fresh canned chicken to make chicken quesadillas. I drained and rinsed the chicken, then flaked it in a bowl. Added some shredded cheese (I used part cheddar and part Mexican blend) then added a bit of salsa. Then spooned the mixture on half of a tortilla flour and cooked in a skillet with a bit of oil. Turned out better than I expected for canned chicken ![]() |

| | You will have to adjust to the size pan you want but, here's a casserole I make. I use 2 of everything for this because we reheat it the next day. This can also be used with fresh boiled & shreaded chicken breast (I like better, but good this way too, saves some time). 2 cans chicken chunks 2 cans cream of chicken soup 2 boxes stuffing mix. Drain chicken and place in bottom of pan. Prepare soup as per directions, and when heated pour over chicken. Prepare stuffing per directions, and spread over the soup/chicken. Bake at 400* until the stuffing is browned. ** be sure to place on a cookie sheet because sometimes it does boil over.**** |
