Smoothies anyone? November 20, 2008


Thanks to an ad in our local Freecycle Discussion group I was able to take part in a once a year bulk frozen fruit purchase. I ordered 30 lbs of frozen blueberries and 40 lbs of frozen mango. These are individually quick frozen and come in a huge box.

My mother split the cost...and the goods with me. We put 2 cups blueberries...

Remember when I said I buy stuff if it is free, even if I don't need it? Again the reason why is that #1 I can always donate it and #2 it will help boost my totals for the gas discounts and other coupons. So I do it.

That is something I will be telling the girls for a long time after this haul, lol! Thanks to a tip from Mama Stu at Hot Coupon World I was alerted to the roll back price on these at Wal-Mart.

I went to HEB because I heard rumor the GG steamers were only 99¢ a bag, so free with the $1 insert coupons. Not at the one I went to, they rang up $1.24. Still 24¢ after coupon is not a bad price at all for yummy veggies.
