Welcome to my blog! This will be a continuation of my annual budget goal that I started on August 1st, 2007.

2008 Family of Four Budget, $800!!! This is my budget for 2008, $800. This year will be a little different than last. I will start out with $100 in paypal and $700 in savings. The paypal money will be used to pay for someones time to cut and send me coupons. I will also increase my paypal

I actually pulled it off, with a little bit to spare!

My total available to spend is $7.54 left out of my initial $800.

My total year to date savings is $7096.74!

Stay tuned for next years challenge. I am going to attempt to do it two years in a row with the same $800 initial cash starting point!

Thanks to all of you who have followed me and cheered me on, you are a great moral booster!

2009 is going to be full of more budget conscious...

Kroger has finally put the fleischmann's yeast on sale for $1. Good thing the 50� catalina back when you buy one pack is going on until the end of the year. Now I think I am pretty well set with my baking supplies...unless of course I can get more for free!

7 packs Fleischmann's Yeast used 45� coupons tripled and 40� coupon...

A pleasant surprise was waiting for me

I was cleaning up in the garden yesterday and noticed this! I have tomatoes again. I am so glad I left the plant even after I thought it was long dead from the heat of Texas. There are currently seven tomatoes on it with several more blooms.

This is our lone orange, the only one that made it. I have no idea when it will...

6 Cheetos used $1 tear pad

OMG, Yummy Mango Bread

When I was a little girl my Hawaiian grandmother used to make this delicious Mango Bread for us. With all the mango I just bought I wanted to make something with it.

Okay, I don't have a Hawaiian grandmother, but if I did, I bet she would have made this for me. It is so good. And if you eat it hot, it is like a cobbler.
