Welcome to my blog! This will be a continuation of my annual budget goal that I started on August 1st, 2007.
What can you do with croutons when you have enough to build a house with?

What can you do with croutons when you have enough to build a house with?
I got several boxes of croutons free the last two weeks with a local in store deal. Because of packaging, the boxes are only half full (of half empty, depending on how you look at it) and they take up a bunch of space.
So I decided to make bread crumbs with several boxes of them. They are seasoned and once tossed into the food processor make excellent bread crumbs (for FREE)

I always try and look past the original use for items and broaden the uses and see what kind of double duty product can do. Now I have much more shelf space, tons of croutons and tons of bread crumbs!

| | That was my first thought too although I don't use bread crumbs often. Another thought was to add onion, celery and broth to make stuffing. Have been reading your blog for awhile now and I must say you are very inventive. |

| | yummm, I LOVE croutons. Funny how little pieces of stale bread can taste so good! You should have made a cool gingerbread style house out of croutons. I bet you could have even sold it on ebay. People buy all kinds of weird stuff on ebay. lol Good thinking on the breadcrumbs though. |
