What are you doing to save more in this economic slump of a time?

I figure our econimic situation took longer then a few months to get to this point so looks like it will take longer to get out. So for miracles to happen soon I will pu that on the hopeful list.
Curious what everyone is doing now that they didn't a year ago?
- Some of mine is ditch the phone landline
- While couponing really looking at what we have already in the cupboards and freezer and using these items up.
- Just because it is really cheap will I use it or will it go on the shelf and rot? So unless it is FREE I will steer away. If it is FREE I promise myself that I will give to others in need.
- I will teach others what others have taught me. Couponing and giving to people is great within reason but after they start taking advantage and asking for things makes you wonder if they can help themselves. So teach them and give them the tools to learn and do things for themselves.
- Use my 1 to 1 rule. For every junky food eat a healthy food. If I eat a fast food burger FREE after coupon and I am still hunger I will go home and eat some baby carrots or make a fruit smoothie:)
