I did pretty well at Walgreens today using coupons and RRs. I'm getting better at it! Today I got 2 Bayer aspirins, 1 colgate maxwhite toothpaste, 1 Women's one-a-day vitamin 100ct (really needed this because I just ran out of vitamins), and for fillers: 4 royal puddings, 2 pencils, and 1 truffle. I spent $.74 total and earned back $4.50 in RRs. I did this over 3 transactions.
For the last transaction, I had waited in line for a long time and when I got to the counter the cashier was really impessed with my coupons. My total for that transaction was $.16 and he actually announced to the entire line of people behind me what my total was in a really loud voice! It was hilarious. Then the guy behind me in line was so in awe (I had bought vitamins, 2 puddings, and 1 truffle) and I started explaining that I do it all the time using coupons and RRs, and I told him about the easy Bayer deal. The cashier was super impressed and was like, "Wait, what aisle is that on? Where can I find it?" LOL. He asked my name, too, and told me thanks. I have a feeling he ventured over to the Bayer display after that! ha. I wanted to be like, "Oh, but this is nothing- you should see what else I got for next to nothing!"
Here is my Giant Eagle trip from yesterday:
I got all of this for about $24, and I saved $24 off my total, plus I earned a $3 OYNO catalina. I wish they had more mentos because I had more coupons! :sad:
The best part, though, was giving a couple a $2 Listerine coupon. I saw them looking at mouthwashes and comparing prices and I decided to be a coupon fairy. They were so grateful. I'm so glad I did it!

i can't wait to get some frozen fruit and i also pick up the eggs. my MIL always says "oh you get the expensive kind..you know its the same as store brand right?"

i have like five million of those mentos coupons i prefer mint gums over the fruit flavored gum except for the one kind with the zebra on the front i just cant remeber the name right now heck i have too many pharmacies in my town there is reynolds ball brothers and the pharmacy at walmart and pretty soon the are moving the dairy queen to another location and walgreens is taking over where the dairy queen is at right now do u think four pharmacies is enough for a small town but im excited for walgreens to open since i can refill my printer cartridges there and get the great deals and rebates that everyone is talking about plus they r building a new hospital across from walmart even though the just remodeled the current one a while ago and they r building a new four lane bridge over the missouri river since the old one is always being worked on dont need a repeat of what happened in minnesota and today is officially my bday number 26 and i get to work today too joy for mePosted 07-05-2009 at 10:42:37 PM by kansascountrygirl66002 -
I too love giving someone a coupon when I see someone looking at items and comparing prices or trying to see if they can afford something.
