Shopping Trip - July 2nd

Tonight's shopping trip was totally nuts! (Terrible pun intended.)



Total spent: Nothing! I actually made a profit of $6.52.

I got overage from my coupons, and although I thought I had gotten enough filler items, apparently I thought wrong! They paid me 2 cents out of the register in overage. And then I looked at the catalinas that had printed out - I earned a surprise coupon for $6.50 off my next shopping order at Safeway, because I bought more than 5 Planters products! Unbelievable!!

Total saved: $34.98

Here's what I got:

8 jars of peanuts
6 cans of black beans
2 packages of corn muffin mix
24 packets of Kool-Aid

I want to thank everyone who posted the different Planters links on the printables forum - this is awesome! If any of you have a Safeway in your area, check this catalina deal out!!

And on top of this, I've earned $62 in credit towards the new 10 cent fuel discount program - all from these transactions that cost me nothing or a few cents a pop! I'm currently doing a "Ten Dollar Experiment" - last week, my boyfriend handed me ten bucks and said, "Oh! Here's some money towards groceries." I thought it would be fun to see how long I could make it last with coupons. I started posting to this blog that day, and after my various shopping trips which I have documented here (except for one that I was too tired to post!), I have only spent $7.55. And now I've made $6.52 in profit against that- bringing my running total down to $1.03! Thank you, HCW!!
