My first goal this year, is to memorize the Serenity Prayer.
I can't control the actions of others, not even in my household, so my $ blog will only account for how effective I can be w/ money that I have.

Total OOPS when everything was said and done: $3.74 !!! for 31 items! I couldn't believe it. I spent what I had forecasted

Had some problems-Potatoes rung up at $1.50 each! There was an employee putting the prices in this little hand held device and changing stickers. I went back in the store to check the price, and the employee told me that...

Stopped at Giant pa for some deals. Couldn't do most of what I was planning on, because everything was OOS. So, no gas deals for me. However...
Had to go to CS to get rainchecks, and $3. -I had a $1 cat print, instead of a $4 cat.
Total oop: $7.79 (roughly $25 savings in store specials and coupons)

Went to Rite Aid, and got 2 boxes of 24 ct. Motrin, and (4) 2-Liters of Coke, as part of their grand opening special-for a total of $3.26. Paid for it w/ the $3 cash I got back...

I kind of let this slip by the wayside, since I've started tracking my spending.
I was able to open up my ING Direct account yesterday, and the best part is, that I used my first $5 rebate of the year to do it! You can read about it here:
