I made an extra trip to Kroger today to get free popcorn thanks to the people at HCW.

I didn't realize, though, that I didn't have to actually purchase 10 items to get the 10/10 price so I spent 30 minutes walking around to find items that were also on sale for 10/10.

The stuff I ended up with were junk type things that I normally do not buy but I kept thinking, "hey, I got free popcorn!"

When I got home my husband was thrilled with the extra buttery...

So I had my first "official" coupon day this afternoon. It took me three hours and because I had to pick up my daughter from a musical rehearsal I rushed at the end. I know I probably would have done better had I taken more time.

After my first day I learned:
1. I was not organized well... it took me forever to find the coupon and the corresponding RIGHT product :frown:
2. Couponing takes longer than I expected.
3. Going alone is a must for me. It was hard...

I just attended a coupon class in Katy, TX this morning. The clinic that my neighbor told me about (we have no insurance) was the one our $5 donation went to. Small world. It felt good to help an organization that helps so many... including me, soon.
