Suave at Walgreens

I'm going to be using this blog to document my savings. I tried writing about this on my regular blog, but people weren't really interested.
I went to five Walgreens stores this week to try to find lavender Suave shampoo (my daughter's favorite kind) with no luck. So today I broke down and bought four bottles of other formulations.
Each bottle => on sale for $1.49
Coupon => $1.00/2
Total cost => $3.96 + .42 tax = 4.38
Minus $3 register rewards for a grand total of $1.38 or $.35/bottle.
With the stockpile we already have, we won't need shampoo for quite a while! I just hope the new formulations work well for my daughter. I already have two free bottles of shampoo that I don't like as well as my usual Aussie.
Now I can go back to complete my shopping and use the register rewards. Learning to split my shopping into multiple trips is taking practice! I've tried to minimize my driving, so adding extra trips feels weird.
