I made cheese biscuits.
I have been trying to master baking for a few months now and with the exception of a few items I have been rather unsuccessful.
I went as far as to go to Sams and purchase my bake goods in bulk since I love baking. Finally I have turned a curb and everything I tried it turned out great.

Gas prices

I think that the so called crises in gas and hurricane Ike is such a crock! I wonder how long they will stay inflated? And shortages, don't even get me started.
I know when Katrina hit gas rose to basically what it now so I wonder if they really are using this as a ploy to keep prices artificially high from now on?
I soo wish I had a different means of transportation so that I did not have to worry about this anymore.
Sorry had to vent!

the gas stations where so packed today by lunch when I left the cvcc campus that they where lined up down the highway in both directions.
Then I go back here(home about 35 mins. 1 way) and picked up my youngest from elem. school then headed to the high school and they where lined up there at 3.89 gal.
then the small store at the corner here at the house, he was at 5.00!!!!
already!!

I'm going to vent too. Today I passed Sunoco and Turkey Hill on my way to the store, both were at $3.49 and, for whatever reason I decided to stop after the store. At some point I heard a report about the gas prices going up because of the storm. When I came back to Sunoco, no more than an hour later, started pumping, then realized it was up to $3.59! I looked across the street at Turkey Hill to see a packed station and $3.49. Not only did I pay 10 cents more a gallon I also felt like an idiot when everybody was across the street saving money! Thanks Sunoco.Posted 09-12-2008 at 03:08:43 PM by freeisfun

I heard on the news that gas stations near the Orlando airport had gas selling for $5.79 b/c they were the last gas stations before car rental lots. I felt so bad for the tourists having to return a full gas tank and paying that much. I was hoping these kind of places would get fined for price gouging but it looks like it's more than just here...so I guess not.Posted 09-15-2008 at 08:00:58 AM by trigurl123
