So here is how my NEW budget is going to look:
$40 per week (down from $60 in 2009) for our household consumables- groceries, hba, cleaning supplies and paper products for me, DH and 2 ds's (6yo and 3yo) 3 cats and one mini pin (dog, <15 lbs) I am also including costs for my newspapers, I typically buy 5-10 every week.
I also do surveys to earn Paypal credits, some occasional rebates and pay-to-click for gift cards. These funds are funnelled back into my budget.
Here's to my goal of $2010 in 2010!

November 2009 Budget Challenge
Posted 11-02-2009 at 07:42:09 AM by Cynthiabutterfly
It's starting to feel like less of a 'challenge' and more like a regular way of life to spend as little as possible, and stockpile only at the lowest rock-bottom prices.
Starting the month with:
CVS $8.65 gc $6.99 ecb
Wag $2.56 gc + $1 rr
Target $24.67 gc
Tom Thumb .13 gc (I've been there but haven't used my .13)
Braum's $5.92 gc
Trying to stay under my $40/wk budget.

Kroger
This trip did not go at all as I planned. The Dr. Pepper 2liters were buy 4/$4, get one free + part of the mega sale- well I bought 15 2 liters, 3 free ones were deducted, but only the non-dr pepper ones (7up, A&W) rang as part of the mega deal. Since this was not tagged, I was not able to get a refund for the mega sale. However, .80 each was still an awesome deal, so I did not return them.

There is some shopping I could be doing now, but I am so wiped out from the Kroger mega sale, I don't want to shop!
Also, my fridge is full of the tamales my MIL, DH and I made over the weekend, and my big freezer is full so I am procrastinating against turning on the other one. So I didn't go get my Tombstone pizzas or my turkey at Kroger yet.
I did go yesterday to use my last expiring ecb at CVS, they were out of the Glade and the Trident, and I didn't have any Suave coupons, so I ended up spending my $7 ecb on snacks and a Scope mouthwash, and got back $2 ecb.
I guess I just need a little break after all the shopping I did the last 2 weeks.Posted 11-17-2009 at 11:58:18 AM by Cynthiabutterfly
