So here is how my NEW budget is going to look:

$40 per week (down from $60 in 2009) for our household consumables- groceries, hba, cleaning supplies and paper products for me, DH and 2 ds's (6yo and 3yo) 3 cats and one mini pin (dog, <15 lbs) I am also including costs for my newspapers, I typically buy 5-10 every week.

I also do surveys to earn Paypal credits, some occasional rebates and pay-to-click for gift cards. These funds are funnelled back into my budget.

Here's to my goal of $2010 in 2010!

It's getting easier. I don't feel the 'need' to go shopping all the time, and I'm more picky about what stuff I need to get in order to use up stockpile items.

    My list today:
    Milk
    marshmallows (to make cereal bars)
Hot dog buns (for chili dogs)
    dry beans
    tortillas
    (both neccessities for DH)

I had tea bags on the list because DH asked for them, but I have coffee, herbal tea, and 100 different kinds of drink mixes, so I've just been mixing up something different every day, and he hasn't asked me about the tea bags.

good savings i comped purex 32 load detergent at walmart since kmart had it 3/$9.00 and i live in kansas and the dillions grocery store in leavenworth had the new purex starter kit or refill sheets for $3.99 and it was almost $6 at walmart plus i had a $2 off coupon that i got out of the paper for the kit and 35 cents off for the liquid detergent so i paid almost nothing for both of these items and i went to lowes the other day and bought xtra 150 loads detergent for $9 each two of those for about twenty dollars which is three hundred loads which will last me a really long time and i buy dryer sheets at dollar general they have their store brand the original scent the 100 sheets box is only a $1.50 per box so i buy two boxes for $3.00 and i have 200 hundred sheets that will last me a long time and everytime i run out of dawn dish soap i save the little bottle and just buy the big refill bottle the same with the equate foaming antibacterial soap since other soaps make my hands get really dried out and cracked even in the middle of summer
