So here is how my NEW budget is going to look:
$40 per week (down from $60 in 2009) for our household consumables- groceries, hba, cleaning supplies and paper products for me, DH and 2 ds's (6yo and 3yo) 3 cats and one mini pin (dog, <15 lbs) I am also including costs for my newspapers, I typically buy 5-10 every week.
I also do surveys to earn Paypal credits, some occasional rebates and pay-to-click for gift cards. These funds are funnelled back into my budget.
Here's to my goal of $2010 in 2010!

2 trips to Target
1 to Tom Thumb
1 to CVS
1 to Kroger
Walmart
3 to Albertsons
My grand total oop for the week: 57.91
$2.09 Under Budget!
I also earned $5 in oyno cats for Albertsons, and $15 in gc for Target!
I am having such awesome luck with my deals recently, and my stockpile is fat. so I'm trying to come up with ways to pay it forward. I've given away lots of coupons and also some of my stockpile to friends and family, but I've cut back so much on shopping for non-essential items for us, that it's hard to find things that I can donate. For now, I think I'll work on giving away extra coupons instead.

I find myself looking at what other people are buying and checking to see if I have a coupon for it. I often have coupons for things I don't purchase unless they are going to be free, so it's nice when someone else can use them.Posted 05-18-2009 at 10:53:15 PM by pinkproverbs

I'm so shy in person and I rarely bring my binder with me, but a few times I've been behind someone and I could have saved them like $20 just off the top of my head if only I had my coupon stash with me!
I've also thought about being a coupon fairy a little more often, I just hate the thought of leaving 'trash' on the shelves that no one will use.Posted 05-19-2009 at 09:21:03 AM by Cynthiabutterfly
