Talking to myself

Posted 09-04-2007 at 08:24:55 PM by cuzisaidso

Okay, another random thought.

I went to CVS last week and as I was driving I realized I had forgotten my cell phone. The conversation with myself went like this..

Me: Crap! I forgot my cell phone. I better call Chris (DH) and let him know.
Me: Hello! Idiot! You forgot your cell phone! How are you going to call him?!
Me: LOL Oh yeah, what a dork! I should call him and tell him what I just did.
Me: Are you insane?! YOU DON"T HAVE YOUR PHONE!!!
Me: What the heck is wrong with me?

I have done the same thing. When my mom died I was used to going to taking her to lunch everday. For over a year even two later, I would still have moments where I started to call her to see if she wanted to do lunch, or something would happen and I would start to call her to talk. We were best friends the last few months of her life.
Yes, I feel she is still a part of me, but I still miss her desperately and need my mama.
I know its not quite the same premise as your story, but yours reminded me of mine. Hope you don't mind sharing.

the hardest thing to avoid that conversation to one's self...is when everything in your house runs on electricity.

No simple phone so if the internetconnection or the electricity goes out. im running around trying to do something that doesn't involve those two lol

It went out a few months back. thought "oh i should call DH to let him know he can't call me....*smacks forhead*

"well fine ill just turn on the tv and wait until it goes back on ...*smacks head*

"jeeze what am i thinking? i should email my INlaws and see if they have any power...*smacks head*

"fine if i can't watch tv ill just play my playstation...grrr!
it will go on for hours like this lol

best thing to do when power goes out and your with someone...at any moment when not speaking about the power being out..say hmm we should watch tv..and tell them to turn it on. 99percent of the time they get up to do it and i just start laughin lol
