January 08 Grocery Totals - Saved $612!

The numbers are in! Grocery totals for January 2008:
Total oop: $342.88
Total coupon & sales savings: $612.80
64% saved!
We started Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover mid-January and have set as our goal a $50 weekly grocery budget including diapers and other baby necessities. We didn't quite hit our goal of $300 this month, but only going over by $42.88 is not bad at all! Plus that's $143.25 less than what we spent in December.
Couponing on a budget has been a little challenging. It's meant that I've had to prioritize my deal hunting and has slowed the stockpiling efforts a bit. But it's a good challenge and one that is helping us towards our ultimate goal of financial freedom!
