Christmas Gift Basket

Posted 10-17-2009 at 04:18:12 PM by BringontheWonder

I'm getting excited for Christmas, and have done some shopping throughout the year. I put the final touches on a gift basket for my sister-in-law today. The total amount spent on the basket and items inside is under $20.00. The items from Bath & Body Works were from my own stockpile of items that I've purchased over the last few years at their semi-annual sales, so I didn't actually spend any money on them this year. The bath towels were purchased last year and have been in my gift closet waiting for a home. The total amount that I actually spent on items purchased during the 2009 calendar year is $7.54, and $3.50 of that was for the basket.

I got my basket at JoAnn's, and I buy almost all of my baskets there. They regularly have them 50% off regular price. This one was originally $7, but I paid $3.50. Hobby Lobby and Michael's also have nice baskets and sometimes have 50% off sales.
