Debt Free Valentine's 2009 Countdown.

Supposed to be debt free Christmas 2008(except house). But, dd RSV hospitalization and DH appendectomy (7 days in hosptial) has put that off estimated owning 3K before it is all said and done. And yes we are Dave Ramsey fans.
We have now.
15,300.25 on "Whine-mobile" (Was 23,000)
14,068.70 on Student Loan (Was 17,500)
--------------------------
Total = 29,368.95
We are making minimum on mini-van until student loan is paid off.
I would LOVE encouragement. Because, it is hard to come by from family.
I did find extra money and put $200 on student loan today but won't know how much is interest till tomorrow or the next day.

| | Don't let those hospital expenses get you down. They're just rocks or fallen logs your have to jump over as you keep running like a gazelle. |

| | Big Dave fan here. Good job on working the steps. I feel your pain about setbacks. We were debt free other than the house and were working on 6 months savings but had some unexpected expenses come up also. In the last 30 days both dds had to be hospitalized for RSV and dh had 2 root canals and is getting 2 crowns for them. Looks like about $3200 for all of it coming out of our pocket. At least we have the baby emergency fund + a little more so we shouldn't have to put it on a credit card and pay interest. Keep at it. Sounds like you are doing awesome. |

| | Great job on working towards such a wonderful goal! Remember, you are living like no one else so one day you can live like no one else....and that includes the family that didn't encourage you along the way. :) I have just recently moved to baby step 2, and I know it can be tough sometimes, but you look at the peace you will gain in the end, it is all worth it. |
