5 year old did CVS all by himself.

DD started throwing up in the car. (Stomach Bug). This was Friday by the way.
We were too far from home to just go back. So, littlest one wouldn't stop screaming. 3rd child started gagging. And my 5 year old was like "cool".
I didn't want to (close you eyes if you get sick easy) put my hand in the "stuff" just to get her out. But, I won't leave my kids in the car just to run into a store, even for a second. So I looked at my son and I said come here.
Here is our conversation.
Me: Here is the deal I can't go into CVS. But, I need some paper towels.
Him: Oh I can do it mommy.
Me: I know.
Him: I'm not scared. God is always looking out for me so I can do anything.
Me: Yes I agree. Here is $20 bill(all I had). I want you to go to the lady in the front and ask her for a paper towel roll.
Him: O.K.
He runs in without looking back! He comes back with an 8 pack of Bounty paper towels.
And change in a little plastic bag.
Well the bag was too small to put the "used" paper towels.
So I asked him to go back in and ask for a bigger bag. He runs in.
He goes "Here mommy. I told the lady that sissy threwed all up." And she gave me all of these (about 5 or 6 CVS bags) and this wet towel.
She comes out about 2 minutes later. She asked if I needed anything else. I said no. I'm fine. (Gagging away at this point. But, trying to smile to reassure DD everything is ok.) She says, "Do you need another wet paper towel." I say "Sure." DS runs in gets them with her and he runs back out. Well, he was over the moon that he was doing Big Boy stuff. And I was so SUPER Proud of him.

 |  awwww, that is so sweet... I love it when little kids feel proud of themselves. Here is a tip for you...always keep a zip lock back of paper towels and a water bottle in your glove box. Has helped me MANY times throughout the years |
