So we had been told by the doctor the best thing we could do would be pull up our carpets. Our 1 year old has asthma and he has had a rough winter. He takes usually 8 medicines when he gets sick. But, only 2-3 when he is healthy.
So we just couldn't afford to wait any longer for Lowe's to put the Pergo on sale. So we had a carpet cleaner guy come out and clean the floors. This guy had rotating brushes and steam at the same time. Well, it worked! It got a lot of the stains out. And cha-ching ds's quit having mild asthma episodes at night the first night we cleaned the carpets.
Things just keep coming up making me think to use that money. Like today the coach for my ds#1's team e-mailed me. They need to have cleats for tomorrow or we can wait and get a coupon to go to a athletic store. (Of course I'm waiting on the coupon.) But, there are just "things" that we want. Like DH wants to get some stuff at Lowes to make a rock bed on the side of the garage. He has almost convinced himself he "needs" it now. So I threw the money away (to the loan) before he can think of using it.
So broke again.
We had $1800 saved up for the floor. Here is how we spent it.
$145 - Cleaning of floors.
$45 - Water purifier for refrigerator water.
$10 - Kid's Easter basket toys.
$1600 of that went onto the student loan.
$207.78 is just our normal payment to the car loan.
So ready for the totals?
$1600.00 on to student loan.
$207.78 on mini-van.
----------------------
$1807.78
Grand Totals now.
$11,875.24 Student Loan
$14,680.70 Mini-van
-----------------------------------
$26,555.94
