So both my boys are in school all day and it is just me and Natalie (2/12). She is on a special diet due to Colitis so feeding her can be a challenge sometimes.

She has a tendency to not want to eat meals. Just snack all day. I think this is pretty common for the age.

So anyway, the boys take their lunch to school everyday. Yesterday Collin forgot his, and Natalie wanted to eat everything in it...for lunch!

Dh stopped by Target last night and picked up a barbie lunch bag. I packed it this AM along woth the boys. Natalie is soooo excited. Maybe this will get her to sit and eat an entire meal????

Tracking my weight...and some goals

Today is a good day to start this blog. I had an appointment with my Doctor this AM and we discussed some goal and options.

A little run down......

Today is a good day to start this blog. I had an appointment with my Doctor this AM and we discussed some goal and options.

A little run down... I need to gain weight. Dr wants to see about 20 lbs. :rolleyes24: I have never ever been able to keep weight on (unless I was prego). No one knows why. Every test in the book seems to have been run. Everything is normal. I am overall a healthy 24 year old.

But, I currently weigh 105 lbs. It is starting to make me tired and I am sick of the comments from people. I have tried high calorie diets, working out, medication, nothing really does it. So we are starting over.

Dr decided that I am going to see a new dietician. Plan meals with fatty protiens and intake over 3000 calories a day. SIGH. He forwarned me that I may be sick to start with, but my body will adjust.

This actually scares me a bit. What is this going to do to my heart, and arteries? CLOG CLOG CLOG

I know a lot of people don't understand that it is not always easy to be super thin. Sure, it has it's advantages. I can buy clothes in the girls dept at stores (cheaper), can usually find what I want to wear, and I do get hit on almost everyday by someone.

But here are the disadvantages
-EVERYONE thinks I MUST have an eating disorder (not)
-People ask where I got my breasts done (and they are real. 34 D) i guess it looks unnatural On my frame (5'6")
-no tush
-my legs look like chiken legs
-after 3 kids, i have strech marks on my belly. I can't have a tummy tuck to get rid of them because I don;t have enough tissue to put me back together. This means a lot to my self esteem.
-If I was to get sick, I have no extra weight to burn off. I have had to have 2 major surgeries in the last 4 years, and had to be closely monitored not to slip under 95 lbs. It can weaken my heart.

I go back to the doctor in 3 weeks for my next weigh in. Target weight is going to be 108. Keeping my fingers crossed!

So my 16 about to be 17 year old sister is moving in with us this coming weekend. I have been trying for about a week now to get my house organized.

She is going to be sharing a room with Natalie for the time being until we move, so we have ordered a new set of bunk beds. Billy still needs to go buy the mattresses after work today, and I still need to buy 2 twin comforter sets.

I also need to get a new bookshelf, a pet net, and storage containers. For some reason I haven;t done all this yet.

It seems that the more I try to organize, the more cluttered everything seems. :mad6:

Our flight leaves Friday AM, and I still need to get that stuff together, and pack the kids stuff for their weekend with grandma.

Maybe if I just stop trying the organizing fairy will come and sprinkle some magic dust....

So here we are again. Me waiting to curl up cozy in my bed.

I love to sleep. I know that sounds weird, but I have always been that way. Even as a baby, my mom really lucked out. Just one of those things.

I was rudely awakened at 4 am (an unearthly hour) by Nats getting in bed with us. Between her, Billy, and the dog, I was suffocating. So I go crawl onto the couch, and the little bugger follows. :mad6:

She wants to watch cartoons.
At 4 am. Well, she settled for an info-mercial. BUT...then I was up. And have been ever since.

Took the boys to school for 7:30, had to run to Target, and the whole time daydreaming about the nap Nat and I were going to take.

Then a friend called, wanted me to babysit her 11 month old. Okay. No prob. He can nap too. Pick him up, and travel towards home. Both Nat and the baby passed out.
Power naps. Wide eyed and bushy tailed at the driveway. :frown:
SIGH. No nap for me.

Go and pick the boys up at 2:30, take the baby home. FINALLY get my kids to settle down, and I GO TO TAKE MY NAP. (at 4:30).

Then the phone rings. Nat's pediatrician. Needs to schedule some dumb test. Uh huh. Conversation goes something (i think) like this
DR- "did I wake u"
Me-"uh huh"
DR- "why are you sleeping this late?"
Me-Nat was up at 4
DR-why
Me-cause she had a nightmare about DR's
DR- cute beth. Are you going to be in town next week? Nat needs her IVC done"
ME-until FRiday, going to boston.
DR- what are u going for
Me- to get some sleep
DR-Get the point, I'll text you the times
Me- k
DR- try to get some more sleep at night
:mad6: :mad6: :mad6: :mad6: :mad6:

He is by far the most annoying DR I have ever dealt with.

So know I am going to try a new night. Wish me luck. I am incredibly sleep deprived right now.

Okay, so Billy is finishing watching a movie and I want to go to bed. Even after 8 years, we still go to bed together. Not one before the other, but together every night. I guess that is kind of sweet. We do have a TV in the bedroom, but I guess he thinks he is not allowed to watch it? :shrug7: I could just go to bed, but then he would follow, and not finish the movie. Then I would feel bad. When do you move past this in your marriage? I thought a long time ago? But it makes him happy, and there are a lot worse things in a relationship.

This is a hard one for me. Money. GRRRR. I have battles with it. Some quick backround on my financial history.
My parents both have really good jobs. Well, my dad did, now he is about to be 50 and retired. Worked like a demon, retired at 45. His wife's family owns an oil company. No worries there. My mom has an excellent job also. After her and my dad divorced, she went back to college and now kicks corporate butt. :)
This is how I grew up. Niether one of them taught me ANYTHING about money. Except is was always there. Always enough. That little machine with the buttons never ran out. The lady at the store got really excited over a shimmery piece of plastic. Everyone in my life was the same way. Yes, it was nice. Then...
I met a boy. A boy with charm and a southern accent. Long story short we ran away together. I thought it was exciting, like in the movies. I was about to be 17. We move to this moderate sized town in South Ga. It was not my Norman Rockwell I grew up with. There is real poverty here. My husband grew up like this. I knew it existed, just not in my fairytale world.
Again, another long story short. We came here in his Camaro with the backseat filled, and about $200 in cash. That was it. Until DH got a job, we were living with his mom. I was in school. I almost went home so many times. Billy got a job, and a couple years later, a really good one. By then William and Collin had joined us. And later Natalie.

Now we do pretty well for our ages. After 8 years, I have learned how to budget. SHOCK. I started using coupons when I had the boys for diapers, and then as a hobby. Then when Natalie was born, her frequent DR and hospital stays, plus the cost of traveling up and down the east coast was eating us up. Billy sold his mustang to pay off the major ones, and I cut back on shopping to cover others. Now, we have a MUCH better PPO plan so it is not so much OOP. By this time, I had fallen in love with couponing hard core. I get a strange thrill and satisfaction from it. We have a decent mortgage, a substantial savings and 401K, and very little debt.
Now we want a bigger house. And we want to put a big down payment on it. My sister is moving in with us this month and is going to stay at least until she graduates in May. We want to be moved by then.

I have set a challenge for myself. $75.00 a week for all household expenses. This is going to include all groceries, HBA, newspapers, postage, regular DR appointments, prescriptions, and gifts for anyone outside the immediate household(birthdays and x-mas). I have a pretty decent stockpile, especially HBA (thanks to CVS). Food, well, I need to work on canned goods for the winter. And pasta.

I know some people have much lower weekly budgets, but Natalie goes to the DR anywhere from 2-6 times a month and that is $20.00 a visit. Sooo, that is why mine is a little higher. This budget challenge will begin officially this Friday.
Wish me luck (o, and if I can do it, anyone can :hysterical:)

This is officially my first blog entrie ever!:BigHand:

Okay, yay, so anyway...My name is Beth, about to be 25, married with 3 little kids in tow. William (6), Collin (5) and Natalie (2).
I am a SAHM and unlike a lot of other people, I find it to be challenging. I much prefer the work force, but DH and I have decided together that staying at home outweighs the perks of working.
The cost of after school care for 2, and full tie daycare for 1 is crazy. Plus Natalie has some special needs and is constantly having to go to the DR. Try finding a boss that understanding... O yeah, and it is good for the kids. :)
I live in SE GA, but grew up in CT. I miss it dearly and all my family that is there. Although my 16 soon to be 17 year old sister is moving in with us in a couple weeks. That is prob going to be a whole nother blog!
As anyone who might read my blogs will find, I get sidetracked easily. But, here are a few things I am going to try to keep up with posting (just some goals)

I have set a household budget of 75.00 a week
Organizing my cluttered house before my sister gets here
My weight issues (DH and I had a tat about them last night)
And just coming to grips with some issues I have about life, and maybe finding that there are other people who can relate?
