Well, today is Monday, and I'm staying home. I'm feeling a bit under the weather and I'm feeling not too happy with myself. Last night, despite the chill, I decided to venture out to one of my grocery stores, A & P, for a look-see. They are having triples, and I was happy as anything that the first day of the new year I was going to incurr into substantial savings. Did I mention I love, love, love triples? Well! The new year is finally here, and I find myself, as I always do on the morning of every January 1st, enumerating my accompishments and the "didn't-quite-make-it" goals. What I usually do is these goals continue on to the new year and add on new ones. Not this year. I am presently on vacation (leave from work I have to take or else I lose it), and my oldest son is home, as well, having had surgery on his right leg. It's a good thing I'm home because he's literally bed-bound and needs help getting things and what-not. At 3:20 am, my SO turned on the lights and said, "Get up, get dressed, the mall is calling us!" He was ready with his jacket and hat on! Off we go, park and into the mall. Not too many people. Good, won't have to wait on those horribly long lines, well, he does, I sit down! We were in the first store and five minutes later, I get stomach cramps! I made a beehive for the restrooms. Darn eggnog! Ten minutes later I'm out and we head for another store. Five minutes past and here...
