My SO and I will be traveling to Italy in mid-November. Everything is set and now it's putting together the wardrobe (I always take the minimum, to keep my luggage weight down, so I don't have to worry about overweight due to souvenirs and things brought back), and what credit cards to take. I like to carry, as a minimum, two when I travel. I have Discover, which does not charge a foreign transaction fee. My SO has Capital One and they don't charge a foreign transaction fee. Since Discover isn't widely accepted overseas, I'll carry one other major cc. American dollars will be changed to euro cash and travelers checks purchased. And Ill be set. I'm so looking forward to it. Then upon my return, my full focus will be on the holidays. Can't wait!!!
