Watching my pennies!

On the first day of the work week, as soon as I arrive to the office, I go on line to monitor my $$. It's sort of a fun thing I do, which I use as a mental device, if you will, to keep me on the savings path, or if I feel derailed, to put me back on track. It takes me a few minutes but I am consistent with this mode of monitoring my funds, always thinking, "This is for my retirement, this is for my retirement!"
While saving for retirement, I still manage to save for other things, things that I enjoy, and not deprive myself. I just juggle things around a bit. Eventually things work out fine.
