Salutations!
Ok, so here I am starting my very first blog. What can I say about myself? First, as the title indicates, I am frugal, sometimes to a fault. My mother used to say I was cheap. I would try to explain to her the difference between being cheap and being frugal. After some years, and especially after I got married, she noticed I was on to something. As with my usage of coupons, although she never quite got it. It was only after her death, that I found out, she was very proud of my couponing and methods of saving money, overall. I become quite emotional when I was told this. It was a dear friend of my mother's, a friend of over fifty years! I'd only wish she had told me this when she was around.
I've been divorced for over 9 years now, but at the begininng I was putting two boys through school, with no help, and trying to put up with everything else life throws at you. It has not been easy. When I got divorced, I had a little over $2 in my checking account, over $110.00 in my savings account, a mortgage, a lease on a car, and my life on a prayer. But, I am a believer, I have faith, and with hard work and a lot of sacrifices, here I am 9 years later, with my mortgage paid off, 401K, e-fund, stocks, nice cash reserves, don't owe anyone a penny, and I FEEL GOOD!
Okay! You now know a little about me. I have a lot of interests, and I love to write. About frugality, about saving money, or just about life's musings! So a big hey to everyone!
