"Yes, We have no bananas!"

I went to BJ's to buy bananas, amoung other things and OMG, there was not a single banana to be found! Imagine, not even the very-ripe-with-fruit-flies-circling-over-them that one buys as a last result ones! So I seek out someone from the produce department and all I get is, "I dunno! The truck didn't come. Come back later!" As if! Went next door to the grocery store, got a bunch, of course paid more. But I was troubled by what I saw. I have never experienced this. Kind of gave me a bad vibe. Maybe I'm reading too much into all that is being said about the high prices on food, and think that the next step will be rationing and shortages. Or maybe not. I'm not liking the thought!
