Economic Stimulus Payment, Colonoscopy, triple coupons and other musings!

So everyone in my office is talking about what they are going to do with their rebate. Me, well first of all, I did not indicate for it to be sent direct deposit, so when I receive it, if I get anything, it'll come via snail mail. Secondly, whatever I get will go directly to the bank. Stimulate the economy? Hmmm!

Last week I had a colonoscopy. It was nice being home for three days. What was not nice was the preparation for the procedure! And boy, was I hungry afterwards! All I thought about was "When I leave the hospital, I'll have a feast!" Not so. I was so woosy and tired, eating was not pleasurable. "Drink plenty of liquids", said the post-op nurse. "This is to cleanse the system of the anesthesia." I'm to still consume a lot of liquids? After drinking that whole gallon of nasty tasting stuff, and one and one half bottle of Citrate of Magnesia, an all liquid diet for 2 days (apologies to anyone who has to have the procedure!), and I still have to concentrate on drinking a lot of fluids? Oh the joys of life!

My local A & P started triple coupons today. My frugalite heart was happy until I looked thru the store circular. As if the constant increase in grocery prices were not enough, I've noticed with this particular store, when they have triples, they hike the prices, so the end price is not all that. I do better going to another grocery chain, who doubles, and pay less. It's a darn shame!

I'm spending my weekend getting stuff ready to sell at the flea market. Looking forward to warmer weather. When's the next holiday? Is it payweek yet? I could sure go for a Pina Colada!
