I only did the Kelloog's cat deal twice (ran out of Qs). But I was able to use those cats to get the items I needed this week leaving a fairly good amount left in the grocery envelope this week!

Well....Before you all start thinking we are not going to make it. We will make it, it just might take longer.

I came within inches of hitting another car on the wet pavement last Tuesday. Our car tires are bald! So we are getting new tires on today. My family scared my hubby and I into buying the "best" tires for the car out there. (But, we priced matched at Sears for Sam's price.)

So $550 for tires there. Plus the $250 we saved this paycheck (and the next...

To start the new week, I added another $80.00 to my grocery fund, bringing my total for the week to $102.96.

Whew, a whirlwind trip, that only ended because we had a very tired 4 year old on our hands, lol. He was a trooper, helping Mom and Dad search for sale items in a new grocery store that we drove almost an hour to get to. The reason you ask? Super-doublers! We wanted to see if it was worth it to go the Giant that offers these every day, and as you will see I think it was!...

Two shopping stops, 3 transactions, and over all felt ok; not a perfect shopping day....made a few rookie mistakes, but I learned from them, and that is progress, right? Also, today I got a check in the mail from a paid-to-click site that I have been doing for a long time- the check was for $28.98, which I am adding to the food budget since we are planning an out of town trip this week.
