How many blinkies do you take?

I tried searching for this but I couldn't find anything other than "leave some for everyone else". So the question is, how many blinkies do you normally take when you see one? I was afraid to take more than 2.

I don't mind taking a bunch, I hate waiting for the slow thing to spit them out. So usually only 4-5.

I usually take 2 or 3 if they are of interest to me. If they are HOT and I will use them immediately, then I will take 4-5 and come back another day to see if there are any left. If there are, then I will snag a few more. I scored a bunch of free or next to free Farmer John meat weiners this way a couple weeks ago.

If you are worried or are feeling guilty, then take only what you need and then grab some more the next time you are in that store or another store.

If its for something I can get real cheap I will take like 10-15 LOL. Like ragu pouches...there was a Q to get 1$ off. At safeway they were 1.25 on sale and buy 30$ get free movie tickets. I got a wholeeeee bunch of tomatoe sauce. LOL.

there is no hard and fast rule about how many blinkies, tearpad coupons, hangtags, peelies you should take. It comes down to personal ethics about what you feel is OK. And really I would rather not have another coupon police discussion....LOL

Personaly my blinkie machines are slow as molassas at giving up the goods and since the old blinkie machine trick no longer works on the new blinkie machines I usually can not get more than 2 coupons unless I have all day to wait for the machine to spit more coupons. But if there are a few coupons in the little slot on the front of the machine I will take them and save them for future use or use at another store. I live in an area with no other real hard core couponers, so I know that I can always come back another day and get more if I need them. But like this weekend I noticed that tuna was 1.00 a pouch and as I was out of tuna I decided to use the blinkies that were right there in front of the tuna on sale. There were 5 coupons in the slot already so I grabbed them, then as I was pulling tuna and puttin it in my cart I took each blinkie that poped and in the end I think I used 15 or so coupons.

I've turned my parents into the blinkie bandits~ they walk around the store each from a different direction and meet in the middle. One time my mom took the qs off the marked down meat but didnt buy it~ I had to tell her thats a NO NO!

Each time I go they have a stack of qs for me, so I have to ask did you leave some for others, did you put the product with the q's back at the front of the shelf......blah blah blah

They are getting better.

I take whatever I need of them. If they are on a product I know my family will use and goes on sale frequently then I will stand there or DH will stand there and pull them for awhile. I like other's have usually raided the top slot as a lot of people/child pull them and put them up there.

Here's a cute story for you... I have my 3 year old trained so well that whenever she sees a blinkie machine, she insists on grabbing a few coupons for me.

As if this isn't cute enough, I was at Vons the other day when I heard a little kid (there were 3 of them) say to his mommy "look mommy coupons!" in a very excited voice. That just made my day.

Well, I'm new to all of this, but I made the ....mistake....of telling my kids to TELL me when they saw a blinkie machine. Next thing I knew, coupons were flying left and right, kids were climbing shelves to get to the higher placed ones, running down the aisles because they thought they saw something blinking at the other end...pandemonium (sp?) I tell you!!

I'm trying to train them to just TELL me and my youngest that someone else needs them, but that first trip with all three going in different blinkie directions was an experience!!

Thanks all! I just didn't know how many were in that little machine and I was worried that if I took 5 or 6 I'd be frowned upon. They have them for Healthy Choice alot and that's one of my main buys so I'd like to grab a few when I see them! At least now I know that taking 5 isn't ridiculous!
