Anne, thanks for telling us, although I wish it was better news. If they would just get rid of the no multiple coupons on the b1g1 or b1g2 sales, I might be a little happier with the no doubling rule. *sigh*

That does stink. I guess I won't be going there too often any more! Shaw's and Price Chopper both still double and in general the prices are lower. I don't get catalinas at Big Y either. I wonder who's in charge of their marketing out there! lol I wonder how long it'll last or if the other stores will follow suit!!
Stop & Shop (and I believe Price Chopper) will accept the Big Y coupons too!!! I'll have to find out how far away from Shaw's is too far to accept Big Y coupons there. My closest Shaw's is at least 45 minutes away from Big Y, so I doubt that they'd be okay with it, where as Stop & Shop is less than 10 minutes away (on a good traffic day!)

yes Price Chopper will too. I usually use the double or triples Big Y has at PC unless there's a great sale at Big Y. I only found out yesterday that Shaw's would take competitor coupons. They don't advertise it.
Well yet another reason not to bother shopping at Big Y. This is a bummer. I was going to try to work them into my deal hunting more this year. Oh well, guess I'll just keep shopping at Price Chopper and Stop & Shop.
