Thumbs Down Re: Big Y silver card

There is a coupon for $5 off the $20 annual fee in this weeks flyer.

I actually do not like the idea of paying to get sales. The silver coins are basically a sale. Anyone have an opinion on this card?

Also the gas stations in my town stopped accepting Big Y coins
The closest one is quite out of my way.

I don't like paying for deals either. Won't be joining in on this.

It's not worth $15 to me, and yes, the idea of having to pay for sales is offputting.

I can only think of maybe 1-2 times per year that I don't have enough silver coins for something I want. Of course, they may start making it hard for you to win the coins now.

I really don't get why I would pay $15 or $20 to get the same savings I'm getting now? And who's tracking your savings so you know at the end of the year if it exceeded the $20 you spent on the silver card. I have tons of silver coins now! I'm not worried about running out. I used two yesterday and got one more! lol

I think the silver coins are really annoying but I have a big Y in my town and I don't get enough silver coins to be worth my while. I got the coin card because I have a 9 people to feed. You can buy up to 5 of each silver coin special and that's per day. Since I literally drive by it daily it's already paid for itself this first week. Sorry to be a sell-out. Buying the card was definitely against all my principles.:)

    10goodreasons- you are okay :)
I have to admit, Big Y sent a free card and I used it today!

I wanted to get 5 Big Y butters. I only had 2 coupons with me (from the booklets), so I just printed 5 more and will see if I can use the card for 3 more and then 2 silver coins tonight. Don't know how they work it if you have silver coins...

They sent you a silver card for free? Just because? LOL
    I'm jealous!

So it allows you to print more coupons? I'm not understanding that.

I never spend much there. Although I have this week. So I bet its for customers who spend over a certain threshold. Otherwise - I'm going to go in and complain.

I'm too cheap to buy this card too. I make a lot of small Big Y runs to get loss leaders and I play the game every time so I accumulate a lot of silvers that way.
