If you need to go shopping, just stop by the customer service desk and they will look up your card number and issue you a temporary card, good for that visit only. They should be able to help you to get a replacement card, as well. You can also order replacement cards online by clicking here and filling out your information.


What is the coupon policy at Big Y World Class Markets?

• Coupon Policy For Manufacturers' Coupons:
  • The purchase must meet the terms of the coupon.
  • Only one coupon is allowed per item.
  • Coupons with a face value less than 99’ will be doubled.
  • The value of a coupon, when doubled, may not exceed the price of the item. If it does, the item is free.
  •“Free-item” coupons will not be doubled.
  • Coupons will not be accepted for items that are “free” on the basis of our ad, i.e., Buy One Get One Free sales, etc.
  • Redemption of identical coupons is limited to 5 per customer per ad week.
  • Internet coupons are subject to the same rules.
  • We reserve the right to accept or reject any coupon.

I have a question regarding coupons at Big Y. I was just looking at the flyer that came in the paper today and it says in small print "Limit 5 identical manf coupons per customer per item". You could take that to read you could use 5 $1/1 coupons on that 1 box of cereal. I am pretty sure that's not the case though. If it is, I'm running to big Y right now!

Is it 5 per one item or 5 per customer on 5 of the same items?

Don't bother running there. LOL It's just their way of poorly wording that you can only use 5 like coupons on 5 items. LOL My wording isn't much better than theirs is, so I'll use an example.

If you buy 6 of an item, it means that they limit you to 5 of the same coupons. But based on the wording, if you have 5) .50/1 coupons and also 5) .75/1 coupons then I'd think that wouldn't be able to limit you from using both since they are not identical.

So in other words on the 6 items I could use the 5 .50 off coupons and 1 .75 off coupon?

Which is only logical but when they create these loopholes in the making, they are just asking for trouble.

I have only shopped Big Y a few times as I have several stores that double and even triple coupons so I try to concentrate on them. Does anyone know if there is a limit to the "goof proof" produce? I know that you only get a coin for alerting customer service about a goof (and in my store at least a limit of 1 coin per day regardless of goofs found) but the item is free if it has been purchased. I decided to purchase 5 goofs today and then bring them up to the service desk for a refund and free equivalent item. Are any of you doing this as well? Has anyone been given a problem in doing so?

I think the 5 limit depends on the cashier. I've used 7 and 8 of the same coupon (Marcal toilet paper and Sani Hands Wipes) and didn't have a problem. (On 3 ocassions.)

Thanks, but I was asking about their freshness guarantee. It's fresh or it's free. If you buy produce and then return it because it is starting to go limp or moldy you get a replacement, plus a full refund.
