Coupon limits

What are your BI-LO's limits on the number of coupons you can use per transaction? What about the number of like coupons allowed?

We all know BI-LOs differ in the amounts they're double to. Let's see how the number of coupons limits differ.

My BI-LO allows 10 like coupons per transaction and no limit on the number of coupons. Though I was told that if I had a large amount of coupons I should break into multiple transactions to avoid locking up the register.

What about you? What have you found about your BI-LO's limits policy?

I was told by the manager at my favorite Bi-Lo that there was a limit of 5 alike coupons per transaction. I think in the past I have used more than that and they all doubled. I had the impression that corporate policy was 10 alike. A couple of times I have caused a problem with the register by using "too many" coupons. They just took the coupons not rung up, ran a total in the office, and gave me the cash. In fact, several years ago, they had super triple up to .99 (usually double up to .60) and I jammed up the register something terrible!

My stores are exactly like your stores. I have not locked up the computers but I don't usually use more than $50.00 in coupons in my shopping trips. I try to not have any run ins with the clerks that seem to think I am stealing from their wallets.

I do small transactions with (10) coupons each product. They have told me in the past that I could go get 10 and go back to the car and get 10 more. I've only done this once though since I'm not shelf clearer.

I try to always go early in the day. My neighbor is my favorite cashier. Mind you, he doesn't bend the rules for me at all, but, he knows what the deal is and makes sure I get all I'm due, nothing more. Some cashiers are just clueless.
