CHAT Doubles with the new barcodes

Coupons are slowly switching over from the standard bar code we all know and love to the new GSR codes. These codes don't begin with a 5 or a 9 so it's a bit harder to predict if a store will double them or not. (Which is a PIA when I'm approving blinkies for the database but that's a whole other rant )

I just used a 50 cent one at BI-LO and had it double with no problem. What's your experince been with them at your BI-LOs?

I'm thinking and hoping, that something on the new code will tell us if it will double or not.

Maybe someone eventually gets a coupon that will double and one that won't double, then post the scan of the coupons here.
All of us can analyze the two, and see if we detect something that gives a clue on doubling.

I'd hate to trade for coupons that won't double, or offer anyone coupons that won't double.

I've had several that would not double but they also had the DND by the expiration date. They would not scan and the cashier had to put them in and did not double them.,

I'm thinking it works out that if they say DND they won't double. Eventually they'll just be DND and no DND instead of DND5 and DND9.

    Here's my experience
The blinkies for Temptations cat treats is the new barcode.
    I compared a foodlion blinkie to bilo's.
You can see the difference. Most times a binary 5 shows as thin lines whereas a 9 is a thick one.
I used foodlions at bilo & they doubled.
so, pretty much same rule of thumb. Get your qsfrom stores that dont double.
