    Do Lowes Fuel Perks expire?
They do at Bi-Lo. I was almost to 10 cents off and the clerk mentioned that the 5 cents I had, expired June 30th. That's when I searched around and realized I can not use them.

LF's expire much faster than Bi-Lo's. I started the Bi-Lo program in Feb, and I used my first $.65, and now I have (I think) another $.65. They expire quarterly, and I think you still have 30 more days, or something like that. Lowe's I think expire in 1-2 months. I think I've only used the Lowe's fuel credit once or twice in the 5 or 6 years they've had it, just not worth it for me.

They know people from N.C. like to drive down just across the line to save on gas. Gas is about a nickel lower per gallon if you go another 6-7 miles down to Rock Hill and go to Anderson Road.
Ohhhhh ok. Your location says NC for some reason. Yeah we like to fill 'er up when we go visit my family in SC.

I do most of my shopping at Bi-Lo, so I build up fuel perks quite often. I use them at the local Sunoco, as it's cheaper than then local shell. Right now I have $1.65 in fuel perks and i have to use them before the end of the month. Probably will tonight, stop by and fill-up the truck. Now I just wish my Bi-Lo would increase the double coupon value up to $0.99, and then I would likely never go anywhere else (except HT for triples).

I inquired at my Bi-Lo pharmacy.
She said BP takes it in my city though we have a Shell and Sunoco.
Then she said in Charleston, S.C. they are not good at BP.
So, if you travel, they may not be good in your city but could be good in a city you are travelling to.

Someone above mentioned using them at Texaco?
We have a Texaco. Shame we have 4 of the gas chains they use, but BP is the only one that accepts it, and BP are always 4-5 cents higher than the lowest.

The pharmacist did say they are good for 6 months, so my first .05 that expired June 30th may have seemed quick, due to my sign up date. I'm over half way to another .05 and these expire in 6 months, so I should be able to get to .10 and therefore save .05 "net" at BP.

Well, through Rx refills, I finally squeezed in 20 cents of FP's just before 5 cents expired August 31st. So, with 5 BP's in my town, I went to the lowest priced BP gas around. Beside BP #1 was a Citgo with gas at $2.29.

I looked over at BP and theirs was $2.31, so I said, wow, I'm going to keep 18 cents of my perks. WRONG. That BP did not take FP's. They told me that only 2 of the local BP's take it, and none of the Sunocos or Shell's.

She said it is Bi-Lo's decision, not her's.

Well, one of the 2 BP's that take them was 2 miles from her store. I went there and right beside the BP #2 was a Cone station at $2.32. I looked at BP and it was $2.37.

So, instead of getting 18 cents of my 20 cents perks (using the perks at the $2.31 BP station versus the cheaper $2.29 next door) I only got to use 12 cents out of 20 cents. They were 8 cents higher than the lowest price in town which was $2.29.

So, the BP that did not take perks was $2.31
The BP that did take the perks was $2.37 and only two miles between the 2 stores.

I have written Bi-Lo to find out why we have 4 Shell, 1 Sunoco, and 5 BP and only 2 of those 10 stations take it.

It's a poor program for me unfortunately,

but those of you who spend more per week than I do, like I might spend $15 a week or less, then it is a great program.

Not so great in my city with the price of gas at BP being 8 cents higher than an independent station a mile away.

    Goodbye fuel perks......

My question is I have never used my fule perks at the Sunco gas station. Everytime I get my receipt it tells me how much fuleperks I have to date. Can I use it now or has all evpired except the current amount?

they expire every 3 months, I think. When part of yours are ready to expire at the end of the month, you'll see this on your receipt.

I had 20 cents and 5 cents was going to expire August 31st, so I went ahead and used my 20 cents. It saved me 12 cent a gallon since the BP that took the perks was 5 cents higher than the nearby BP that did not take the perks. We have 1 Sunoco but they are not participating. The clerk at the BP that does not take them, said it is Bi-Lo's decision which stations take them.

If it is Bi-Lo's decision then they should go bankrupt, because it is a terrible corporate decision.

Bi-Lo should want as many stations to take them as they can get.
Why not? Why have 10 Sunoco's, Shell's, and BP's in my city, and only 2 of those 10 stations participate, and those 2 have the highest prices in town. Maybe the store is giving Bi-Lo the extra nickel back.

I think the stations decide to participate because it is a hassle for them. The BP I went too would not take my card at the pump, I had to go inside twice and wait in line and for the clerk do it manually. I'll bet that extra nickel in price, goes top pay them for their trouble.

If you only spend $10-$15 a month on food like me the program does not work.
