BI-LO ~ Other: NEW Coupon Policy at my Bi-lo store!! Woohoo!

I received a call today from the store manager at the Rivermont store in Chattanooga. He was responding to a survey I had completed stating that I had started doing a lot of my shopping at Publix because of their coupon policy. He wanted to inform me that his store is now accepting all competitor coupons and would allow you to combine a store/competitor coupon with a mfg coupon as long as it did not create overage. I said that I had heard that a few stores were accepting competitor coupons, but with a 3 per transaction limit and you could not combine with a manuf. coupon. He said there was no limit and you could combine.

This change could make for some interesting deals. I hope other stores are doing this as well. Has anyone else heard anything?

I had heard they were accepting competitor coupons but had not heard there was a limit and I haven't tried it yet either.

Yes, they will take it up to 'free', but not over. I went in today to give it a try and it worked like a charm. They have Cottonelle for $4.98, so I used a .50 mfg q(which doubled) and a $1.50 Target q, so I got the Cottonelle for $2.48. Super price for Cottonelle imo. I also used a .75 Publix q for Hellmans along with a .75 mfg q which made for really cheap mayo. I had one other competitor coupon and the cashier didn't even bat an eye. She took all the q's no questions. Afterwards I went up to the store manager and told him I appreciated the call and would definitely tell everyone about their new policy.

I live in Etowah TN and i wondered if anybody knew if the bi-lo there is taking them and how many if they do.

In the past I had read that it was supposed to be corporate policy to accept competitors coupons. My store stopped taking catalinas from other stores-saying it is competitors and they won't get reimbursed...so I guess my store didn't get the memo...
Maybe i need to go so I can get a survey and fill it out.

I assume the target Q you used was a printable? If that is the case, then THAT might get me back in the door there.
