I guess Bi-Lo can make whatever rules they want, still anyone agree with me?

Bi-Lo now has over 400 generic drugs for $4.00 like Walmart and there is no money to pay to get a drug card like CVS, etc.
I was given a coupon by a Bi-Lo pharmacist that would give me a $25 gift card with a transferred prescription. I went to use it today.
I was told that they can not let me get two discounts on the same Rx.
I said "where" are you getting 2 discounts? I was told the $25 gift card is considered a discount and the $4 generic was a discount.
I said, what is the regular price on my generic? $4? Yes, they said, so I said well, how is that considered a discount, and I have never heard of a gift card (perk-giveaway) being a discount too.
I was given two choices, take the $4 generic and forget the gift card coupon or pay the $23 for the med and get the $25 gift card.
I was forced to take the $4 med since I might get a non $4 generic for that coupon later on. Bi-Lo told me I could use it but only on non $4 generics. I can see why they have this rule, but to tell me $4 is the "regular price" does not explain why that counts as a discount and why the gift card is called a discount. You can not use two discounts on the same Rx and I had to take the gift card, or the $4 med, or neither.
I think their policy on this has a strong smell to it. :shrug7:

When I worked at Bi-Lo they had the WORST customer service. Like there was a sing that says if an item doesn't scan at the right price it is free. So then they don't remove half the tags from the previous weeks sale, and they would get mad at customers over it. They would also get mad because a lady would weigh stuff like bags of potatoes and get the heaviest one. And they would watch everybody- they would think if you you browsed too long you were shoplifting or something. And one mgr made a HUGE show out of a lady stealing two tiny cans of beenie-weenies. And he was doing it all just for show, trust me. He probably knew the lady, wouldn't be surprised if it was all an act.

    hhuumm...

That would definately get my blood boiling.
I am reading the $25 GC coupon I have in front of me. It says nothing about only receiving one discount. "coupon may not be used in conjunction with any other offer" But also I have a line that says *See pharmacist for price match Details. SO I wonder if the price match details are a discount too!

I have insurance for my copays so I am not sure how the $4 generic thing works. I would definately call or go to ANOTHER BiLo and see if it is the same at that one and proceed from there.

    what got me was:
    1. they consider the "regular price" of $4 for all their 400+ generics as a "discount"
    then
    2. they consider the "supposedly free" food card as a "discount"

I do not think a gift card given away and a regular price, neither, seem to be a discount to me. But they do, and you can only accept one of the discounts.
