There are a few KEY things to saving the most money.

    1. Combine sales with coupons, don't be in a hurry to use your coupons if you don't need it, chances are if the coupon was in the paper it will be going on sale soon at the store.

    2. MULITPLE COUPONS/INSERTS-this is really important. When you buy a paper buy a few of them on Sunday so you can have multiple inserts. Most of us here either buy several papers, trade for coupons or 'acquire' our coupons on the internet. When the price is low you want to stock up on the product.

    3. Stockpile-some of us are thought to be nuts because we will buy 20 cans of veggies because they are cheap or free after coupon (this is where the multiple inserts comes in). You want to have enough of an item to last until it goes on sale again. When someone says to me "what are you going to do with all that shampoo?" OR whatever item I have a lot of-my answer is always USE IT or EAT IT or DONATE IT. People can't think past a week or two.

Look around the site, there are places that are for the new person where the hints are for every store not just bilo. I found this site after being a member at another site. The people here are more friendly and they follow the rules of couponing. I have learned quite a bit. I will add, when you are begining this saving money quest, doing one store at first is a good idea, it can become overwhelming at first to try and chase every deal. That was a mistake I made when I first started, now I have several stores that I keep track of on a regular basis, and it is a lot easier now.

Thank you so much for your advice! I am going to try to start looking ahead more than just one week! I might contact you with more questions in the future!

Oh, and by the way...I have a cat that looks just like yours...did you take him from my house? Hehehehe
